Normally I am not one to take the time to write a letter, but I wanted
to make you aware of my recent service experience.

On Saturday 6/19 I was driving my 98 Avalon, when it started to make a noise from the right rear. After a short while the noise went away and I thought nothing of it. The next day as I drove down the street the noise returned and was quite bad, so I returned home realizing I was going to need service. I decided to try Bennett service for the first time due to the fact my normal service shop is close to 40 miles away in the area that I work. I dropped my vehicle off on Sunday evening with no notice to you service department.

The next morning I phoned the service department to apologize for just dropping the vehicle off at night, and to see if they would have the
time to look at it. Your service department was very friendly, and said
they would be able to look at it that day.

Later in the day I was called and told that my vehicle needed rear sway bar bushings, and that it would be ready for pick up that evening. Upon arriving to pick up my car, I was told the technician just finished
test driving the car and there was another noise. (I went for a test
drive and heard the noise also) Mike, the shop foreman, went over and
looked at the vehicle with the tech that was working on it. Mike
determined that my vehicle required a rear wheel bearing, and also
apologized to me for not personally driving the vehicle earlier and
discovering it.

To make a long(er) story short, Mike went out of his way to find the
part for my vehicle, drive to 33 & 22 to pick up the part, and stay
till approximately 8:30 pm to see that my vehicle was properly
repaired. It is my understanding that Mike's shift ended at 5pm that
day.

 It is not often that you will find an employee that cares as much about
customer service as what was shown to me by Mike. Not only did he stay about 3 ½ hours late that day to make sure my vehicle was properly finished, but was friendly and personable the entire time. No one wants a repair bill, but I assure you that when a customers expectations are surpassed as greatly as mine were, it makes it a lot easier.

Please take the time to give Mike, and your service department the
recognition they deserve. I do know that when I require further
service, or my next vehicle purchase, Bennett Toyota will be the first
dealership I contact.
