When you’re in need of a vehicle and you don’t have a big family to cart around, consider going with a subcompact.  The 2014 Toyota Yaris from Allentown Toyota is very affordable and extremely reliable.  This is the perfect starter car for a teen, someone out of college, or anyone who is not ready to invest in a larger sedan or SUV.

Affordability of the 2014 Yaris L

The base model for this car sells for under $16,500.  Not bad for a new vehicle!  The engine is a 1.5-liter inline 4-cylinder that makes a good 106 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque.  While this is a decent amount of power for a subcompact, you will be saving even more money at the pump.  The Yaris gets 32 miles per gallon combined with an automatic transmission, and 33 mpg combined with a manual transmission.  Either way it’s a great deal!

Features in the 2014 Yaris L

For an excellent price, you receive a lot of awesome standard features.  On the outside, the Yaris L is equipped with power locks, 15-inch steel wheels, and a rear windshield wiper. Inside you’ll find even more:

  • Trip computer
  • Tilt steering wheel
  • Air-conditioning
  • Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity
  • Four-way adjustable front seats
  • Fold-down rear bench seat
  • Six-speaker sound system
  • CD player
  • Auxiliary jack input
  • iPod/USB interface
  • HD radio

If you choose the Yaris with four doors, you will get 15.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seat.  When you opt for the two-door model, you get only slightly less,15.3 cubes.  Folding down the rear seat will give you even more, which makes traveling with a lot of luggage easy in the Yaris.
