Price and Warranty Coverage

The starting MSRP for the Toyota Tacoma pickup on the lot is $22,045 for the base model with an access cab, 4-cylinder and manual transmission. The V6 version with an access cab and 4WD drivetrain starts at $32,475. The double cab with the V6, manual, and 4WD drivetrain is just shy of $33K. If you prefer the double cab with an automatic and V6, the starting MSRP is closer to $37K. KBB awarded the Tacoma with a 2015 Best Resale Value Award.

Driving confidence is achieved with backup from the 36-month/36,000-mile basic warranty, 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and roadside assistance coverage for 24 months or 25,000 miles. Toyota includes full service for 2 years or 2,000 miles.

 

Powertrain Options

The standard 2.7-liter inline-4 powers up 159 hp and 180 lb.-ft. of torque. The manual versions average 21/25 mpg for the 2WD and 18/21 for the 4WD. If you prefer the ease of an automatic, the fuel economy rating is 18/21 mpg 4WD and 19/24 mpg 2WD.

 

The 4.0-liter V6 produces 236 hp at 5200 RPM and 266 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 RPM. The estimated fuel economy rating for the 2WD manual is 16/21 mpg and 16/19 mpg for the 4WD. The automatic 2WD averages 17/21 mpg and the 4WD averages 16/21 mpg.
