Nature always seems to come alive when the flowers start to bloom. You can always build a garden at home, but not everyone has the time and space to do so, and few homes can match a public garden tended by professionals. So, if you want to see the best flowers in and around Allentown, Pennsylvania, you should check out the following gardens.
Malcolm Gross Rose Gardens
The Malcolm Gross Rose Gardens are on the west end of Allentown along Cedar Creek, and they’re right between Parkway Boulevard and Honochick Drive. The gardens offer several rose varieties and colors in tended bushes and lattices, and several gazebos and trees offer plenty of shade.
Bethlehem Sculpture Garden
Over in Bethlehem, you can find the Sculpture Garden on North New Street, in the same block as City Hall. The Bethlehem Sculpture Garden is a small extension of the Payrow Plaza area, but it has plenty of shade and a few interesting sculptures to capture your attention. They’re also home to a free summer concert series.
Emmaus Remembrance Garden
Head just south of Allentown to find the Emmaus Remembrance Garden. The garden’s tenders are a nonprofit organization, and they offer their garden as a way to remember loved ones who have passed away with commemorative bricks, benches, trees, and more.
These gardens in Allentown and its suburbs offer people a way to enjoy the beauty of nature without having to drive out into the woods or the valleys to see it. If you’re a lover of cultivated gardens, have a look at what Allentown offers.
